There is a legend that the cave here is thousands of years old and also the beginning of human civilization. These same monasteries in Mustang are now being discussed again.A guest house has been set up inside the cave at Celta in Lomanthang-2 of Upper Mustang. Local Pema Ghirmi Gurung has brought this guest house into operation since 2018 BS. The guest house inside the cave has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to spend the night.

Gurung has run a guest house in another medium cave just below Chhoser’s Jhong cave. This guest house is named Selkar. To get there, you have to walk 20 minutes from Jomsom-Korla Highway. To reach the cave, there is a stairway with iron railings, four rooms inside the cave and two entrances. There are 6 beds in one of the 4 rooms inside the cave and 2/2 beds in the other 3 rooms. He has even arranged lights and water in the rooms inside the cave. The windows of the room are lined with old historic rental utensils. Outside the cave guest house there is a guest house of the same name with an capacity of 8 beds.

Guest house operator Gurung says that the tourists who come to stay inside the cave are charged Rs 3,000 to Rs 7,000. Although there are dozens of caves in the upper Mustang, this is the first guest house he has operated inside the cave. In ancient times, the locals of Upper Mustang lived inside caves. It is said that the cave was built by digging the hill as the population of the family inside the cave increased.
