Sardar Pritam Singh, who laid the foundation of transport business in Nepal, has been honored as ‘Transport King’. He was honored at the 6th Congress and 15th Annual General Meeting of Transport Business Federation of Nepal.

Considering the geographical situation of Nepal, along with the initial development of the country’s road infrastructure, in 2014 B.S. Sardar Singh did the work of introducing the first cargo truck as a cargo vehicle through Tribhuvan Rajpath to Kathmandu.

Soon after that, he realized the need and brought 3 more trucks to Nepal in 2015 B.S.. When the importance of transportation became clear, in 2015 B.S., when there was a food crisis in Nepal, Sardar Singh played a major role when Nepal Public Motors Service (NPMS) duly registered and brought 150 trucks to Nepal at one time as a government initiative to facilitate the life of Nepali citizens.

In this chapter of history, when shipping took the form of a business, now it has succeeded in playing a proud role in nation building, the Transport Business Federation said that Sardar Singh’s contribution was appreciated.

Arun Shrestha, the newly elected vice-president of the Federation, said that the entire Federation family felt proud to honor Sardar Pritam Singh on the occasion.
