The oil corporation has become the tyrant

Nepal Oil Corporation deals in all petroleum products. Its main purpose is to make high profits, increase operating expenses, pay large commissions to transporters and sellers, and patronize syndicates. This is the business it is running.

Now Oil Corporation buys petrol at 102 rupees 73 paise and sells it at 183 rupees. Despite this, he has a profit of only 2 rupees 29 paise. Similarly, buying diesel at 118 rupees 40 paise and selling it at 173 rupees shows a loss of 2 rupees 4 paise. Cooking gas was bought at 1458 rupees 94 paisa and sold at 1895 rupees, but it showed a loss of 181 rupees 53 paisa per cylinder and increased the price of fuel. But it was withdrawn after 24 hours.

Every 15-15 days, the government also gives expensive gifts to the citizens who are fed up by increasing the prices of daily consumables such as pulses, rice, pulses and spices. The government raised the price of cooking gas by 215 rupees from Monday and made the kitchen more expensive for the citizens. After that, along with gas, the increased prices of diesel, petrol and kerosene have been withdrawn. But in the name of implementing automatic price system, the corporation has been rubbing the back of the citizens by guaranteeing itself more profit.

In the last 45 days, the price of gas has been increased by Rs 105 per cylinder. Similarly, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 18 and diesel by Rs 27. It has a direct impact on the daily life of citizens. In the name of increase in fuel, the prices of food and vegetables are increased. When the price of petroleum products has decreased, the corporation, which has been reluctant to reduce its losses by showing its losses, has recently been increasing the price of the black market by showing the international trade.

The corporation gives 6 rupees 14 paise to the petrol pumps for selling one liter of petrol. By selling one tanker of petrol, the pumps get a profit of Rs 122,800. Even if one petrol pump sells very little petrol, businessmen say that two tankers are sold. In this way, a petrol pump earns at least 245,600 rupees a day – 73,68,000 in a month. Big pumps earn crores of profit in a month. In this way, billions of rupees were put into the pockets of the businessmen who have been running the syndicate for a long time.

Transporters and petrol pump operators, who traditionally run syndicates in the country, sometimes protest in collusion with the high officials of the oil corporation. By stopping the delivery and pumps, they cause a shortage of fuel. And they force to increase the profit of transportation and pump.

The government also collects more than 60 percent tax on fuel. Apart from that, there is no other focus except how to earn profit and eat bonus.
