Russia-Ukraine war: Europe’s biggest refugee crisis since World War II

It has been 12 days since Russia invaded Ukraine. Thousands of soldiers and civilians have been killed in the same period. Thousands of Ukrainian structures have been destroyed.

European countries are currently facing the biggest refugee crisis since World War II. Most migrants enter Europe via Turkey. Recently, about 13,000 migrants have been stranded on the Macedonian and Greek borders.

Immigrants from conflict-torn countries in the Middle East travel to Greece via Turkey via risky sea voyages.

Some of them are foreigners, most of them Ukrainians. In the West, countries have made temporary arrangements for these refugees to live in European countries, such as Poland and Romania.

The refugee crisis is expected to escalate as Russia continues its offensive in Ukraine.
