Russia claims to have captured Europe’s largest nuclear power plant
Ukraine claims Russian troops have captured the Georgia nuclear power plant. Europe’s largest nuclear power plant caught fire early Friday.
Reuters quoted a local official as saying that staff deployed there understood the state of the power plant. According to him, the employees of the station have continued their work and are supervising the power units.
Shortly before the capture, international news agencies reported that Russian forces had attacked the power plant.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tweeted that Russian troops had attacked Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.
He appealed to the world for help on Twitter, saying the power plant was in danger. Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson then spoke by phone with Jellensky.
