Petrol price hiked again; How much per liter?

Nepal Oil Corporation Ltd. has again increased the price of petroleum products today. As per the latest details, the corporation has increased the price of petrol by Rs. 2 per liter. According to the new price, petrol has now reached Rs. 120 per liter. Similarly, diesel and kerosene prices have also been increased by Rs. 2 per liter. According to the new price, diesel and kerosene have reached Rs. 103 per liter.

The new price list came up effectively from 12 midnight today. The retail price of cooking LP gas and aviation fuel has been kept unchanged, said Binit Mani Upadhyaya, spokesperson of the corporation. The price was last adjusted according to the price sent by the Indian Oil Corporation on April 1. It is said that the corporation will incur a monthly loss of Rs 1arba 9 crore if the price is not adjusted.

According to the corporation, after the price adjustment, there will be a loss of Rs. 7.39 per liter on petrol, Rs 9.94 per liter on diesel and Rs 418.47 per liter on cooking LP gas. The corporation is incurring a loss of Rs. 60 crore 13 lakh in 15 days from LP gas alone. The loss will be managed from the price stabilization fund and the accumulated profit of the corporation.

In the Birgunj area of ​​Nepal, which is connected to the Indian border Raxaul, petrol is cheaper by Rs. 30.47 and diesel by Rs. 36.63 per liter.
