How can the government spend 12 billion in 2 months of State 1 budget ?
The state 1 government has already spent 50 percent of the total budget by mid-April of the current fiscal year and has estimated that more than 80 percent will be spent by the end of the current fiscal year. In the budget statement presented by the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Indra Bahadur Angbo in the state assembly, it is mentioned that the expenditure of the state government has increased by 17.32 billion as of mid-April of the current fiscal year, an increase of 1.29 percent compared to the same period last year. So far, revenue of rs 3.16 billion has been collected.
Out of the budget of rs. 32.46 billion for the current Fiscal Year, a total of rs. 21.99 billion has been received by mid-April and rs. In order to achieve the target of spending 80 percent of the total budget, it is necessary to spend Rs. 12.54 billion in May and June. It is very challenging to spend the budget by mid-July. Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Angbo claimed that the revenue would be collected as per the target and the expenditure would be 80 percent. “We have one more month left. Since most of the revenue will be collected in July and the payments will be higher, we are confident that we will be able to spend more than 80 percent, ”said Minister Angbo.

The state government has presented an estimated budget of rs. 39.73 billion in the parliament. This budget is 7.27 billion more than the current Fiscal Year. The state government led by Sherdhan Rai had brought a budget of rs 32.46 billion for the current fiscal year.
Similarly, the revenue of the state government is expected to increase by rs. 88 million in the budget of the coming fiscal year. However, revenue of rs. 3.16 billion has been collected so far in the current Fiscal Year. In order to reach the target by mid-July, the state government has to collect revenue of rs. 93.11 million.
