Discounts from 7 to 50 rupees in concession shops aimed at festivals, how much for which food?
The discount price shop targeted at the festival will be operated from October 21st to November 3rd.
Gajendra Kumar Thakur, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply informed that the shop is going to be operational throughout the festive period to provide essential food and consumer goods at a reasonable price keeping in mind the interests of the common consumers. According to him, the aim of such shops is to control the market price and maintain quality, and provide materials in a simple, easy and accessible manner.
The government has been running discount price shops every year to prevent the private sector from monopolizing the consumer market during the festive season.
How much discount on which food?
All types of rice, dal, wheat, atta, flour, flour, mustard oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil and chiura will be sold at concessional prices at Rs 7 per kg cheaper than the market price. Similarly, a discount of Rs. 10 per kg has been given on Karnali beans and pulses, cowpea seeds, Chinese, kaguno and lice and live goats, goats and chickens. Similarly, the Dairy Development Institute has given a discount of Rs. 20 per kg on ghee, Rs. 20 per 200 grams of cheese and Rs. 50 per 500 grams.
