Woman found dead in Dhanusha, husband in the run

Kathmandu, February 16

On Tuesday morning, a woman has been found dead in Kamala municipality of Dhanusha district in Nepal. The police have suspected a foul play as the deceased’s husband is on the run.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Sangita Devi Gaderi Raut, who was in her mid-30s, a resident of Machijhitkaiya, Kamala-2.

Raut’s body was found at a paddy field near her house this morning, with some bruises on her neck, says Police Inspector Hitendra Rokaya at Khajuri Area Police Post.

Police have been searching the abscoding husband, Khusi Lal. As per the information, Raut was the second wife of Khusi Lal.

For post-mortem, the deceased’s body has been sent to the Janakpurdham Provincial Hospital whereas further investigation is going on.
