Trapped Labourers in Kalanga Tunnel were Found Dead

Four labourers, who were trapped in a tunnel of Kalanga Hydropower in Bungal Municipality of Bajhang, were found dead on Monday. They were trapped in an underground project since Sunday afternoon.

The deceased are Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, Karna Bahadur Shahi of Gurans Rural Municipality, Dailekh, Mahendra Saud of Turmakhand Rural Municipality, Achham, and Sher Singh Dhami of Bungal Municipality.

The 65-megawatt project has been under construction since the past five years and presently tunnel digging works are going on.
