The Taliban government has banned beard cutting

The Taliban government has banned beard cutting in Afghanistan. The Taliban claim that shaving or shortening the beard is against Islamic law; so, Taliban has ordered local salon operators not to trim and cut beard.

The Taliban have warned of “severe punishment” to those who cut their beards.

The salon business has flourished in Afghanistan over the past 20 years. But it has been trapped since the Taliban began imposing sanctions.

At the same time, there are indications that the Taliban regime will be as tough as ever. On Saturday, the Taliban killed four people arrested in connection with the abduction and hanged them in public.

Although the Taliban have said they will not repeat the old behavior, the changed behavior has not been seen.
