The stock market is at a 10-month low, down 88 points today to 2361 points.

Kathmandu: The stock market index Nepse fell on the first day of the week. Nepse has dropped by 88.7 points to 2361.27 points on Sunday. This is the first time that Nepse has fallen below 2370 points since January 3 last year. Today, 72.23 million shares have been traded at Rs 3.19 billion.

Shares of all groups traded today have declined. Shares of insurance, trade, finance, manufacturing, development banks and microfinance groups have declined by higher numbers.Of the 228 companies traded today, all but 12 fell.

Shares of New Sarathi Microfinance fell 10 percent and shares of Laxmi Equity Fund, Janaki Finance and Nepal Hydro Company fell more than 9 percent today. Shares of Unilever Nepal and Swabhiman Microfinance Company rose two percent.
