The Nepse index declined by 65 points to Rs 6.59 billion
The stock market index Nepse fell by 65.58 points on Monday, the second day of the year. The Nepse index fell 2.55 percent to 2,506 points as investor morale plummeted in the Kathmandu Valley following talk of a ban. The transaction amount has also decreased on this day. Shares worth Rs 7.28 billion were traded on the previous day, compared to Rs 6.59 billion on Monday.
Today, all groups are in decline. Banking 40, trade 127, hotel and tourism 71, development bank 88, hydropower 99, finance 27, non-life insurance 384, manufacturing 95, others 54, microfinance 112, investment 2 and life insurance have declined by 359 points. Of the eight companies traded on Monday, the share price of 171 companies declined. The biggest loser was Reliance Finance, which fell 8.06 percent.
