The Nepalese rupee is the weakest in history

The Nepalese rupee has historically weakened. The Nepali rupee has been weak so far as the US dollar has appreciated.

The Indian currency is weakening due to the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war. When the Indian rupee weakens, the Nepali rupee also weakens. Due to the stable exchange rate of Nepali currency with Indian rupee, the value of Nepali rupee has been weakening for some time now as the Indian rupee has depreciated against the dollar.

The US dollar has remained high so far. On Tuesday, Nepal Rastra Bank set the buying rate of US dollar at 122.84 paise and the selling rate at 123.44 paise. That means you will now have to pay 123 rupees 44 paise to buy one US dollar.
