The government will allow only one-fourth of the banks to operate

The government has allowed only one-fourth of the branches of banks and financial institutions to operate in the Kathmandu Valley and major cities where the ban has been issued. Those branches will have to be run with a single staff.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) on Friday evening. The responsibility of facilitating this has been given to Nepal Rastra Bank.

Earlier, all branches of banks and financial institutions were allowed to open even after the ban.

The ban on corona virus infection control will be tightened from tomorrow.
