Students who are not allowed to go abroad for study got their fees refunded
NRB has refunded the education service fee paid by the students who paid money to colleges and universities to go abroad for higher education but could not go for foreign studies for any reason.
On July 7, the Inland Revenue Department had approved the ‘Education Service Fee Refund Criteria, 2078’.
Accordingly, if a student takes a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and exchanges foreign currency and sends money to a related college or university abroad, he / she will get back 2% of the revenue collected by the state if he / she does not get a visa or cannot go for any reason.
