“Startup and Idea Fest 2021” to be organized in 7 states; Online application is open

Last year, Covid- 19 has affected several areas of lifestyle. However, the operation has resumed in various affected areas. Meanwhile, Living with ICT is going to organize “Startup and Idea Fest 2021” in all seven states of the  country.

Starting in the first week of Baisakh, the Idea Fest will feature local startups and people with innovative ideas. Startup and Idea Fest 2021, which is being organized as a pre-event champion of ICT Award 2021, will be held in major cities of the state. The program will start from Biratnagar of Province No. 1 in the first week of Baisakh and will end in Dhangadhi of Far Western Province in the second week of Jestha.

Similarly, programs will be organized in Birgunj in Province No. 2, Hetauda in Bagmati Province, Pokhara in Gandaki Province, Butwal in Lumbini Province and Surkhet in Karnali Province.
Innovative projects of local startups and students working in the field of technology can participate in the competition, said the organizers. Event Officer Muskan Prasai said that the registration, which was opened on Chaitra 1, will continue till Chaitra 25.

The best startup products will be showcased at Startup and Idea Fest 2021. Even school and college students will be able to demonstrate innovative projects at the event. Rastriya Banijya Bank, Brandigit and Technorio have collaborated in organizing the fest.

Rajan Lamsal, chairman of the organizing committee, said that a concessional loan facility of up to Rs 1 million would be provided to the best startups from each state and up to Rs 300,000 would be provided to the best ideas. He said that the fest was organized with the objective of promoting startups, innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.
