Slight improvement is seen in tourist arrivals

Tourist arrivals in September and October of 2021 show a modest improvement compared to the previous year. The months from September to November saw an improvement in tourist arrivals as compared to 2020.

The slowdown in tourist arrivals due to the corona virus seen in the year of preparation for the ‘Nepal Tourism Year-2020’ has seen a slight improvement with this year’s season.

The months from September to November are considered the tourist season.

Although 134,096 tourists visited Nepal in October 2019, a total of 23,284 tourists visited Nepal in October 2021. In September 2021, 9 thousand 898 tourists have come to Nepal. In the same month last year, a total of 584 people had come.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the highest number of tourists in 2021 BS has come to Nepal in the previous month, i.e. in October. The first season, October, saw an improvement in the number of tourist arrivals due to the declining coronavirus infection rate, increase in the number of vaccinations and ease of tourist arrivals.

Nepal is also a major destination for world tourism. Nepal’s tourism sector has gradually improved since the 1950s. After India, most of the tourists visiting Nepal are Chinese. According to the statistics of the board, more Indian tourists have come this month. After India, Chinese tourists come a lot, but this month, there are a lot of tourists coming from the United States too.
