Sanima Life Insurance entered in an agreement with NCHL
Kathmandu, April 23
Sanima Life Insurance Limited has entered into an agreement with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL). The insrurance company entered in an agreement to enable their payment transactions digitally using the National Payments Interface (NPI) of the Nepal Clearing House (NCHL).
The agreement has been signed by Agam Mukhiya, Chief Executive Officer of Sanima Life and Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer of NCHL.
Once,Sanima Life integrates its internal payment system with NPI, it will be able to conduct insurance claim payments, agent commissions, salaries, vendor payments and other investment transfer transactions directly from real-time and non-real-time affiliated bank accounts. All these transactions will be done directly from the insurance company and the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
In addition, Sanima Life insurers have been paying their insurance (premium) fees online through the IPS website, mobile app and branches of member banks and financial institutions.
Sanima Life Insurance, which has been in operation since 2074 BS, is a company promoted by Sanima Bank and Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs). Sanima Life is a trusted name in the life insurance sector of Nepal and this partnership with NCHL is expected to help make its presence felt in digital insurance services as well.
NCHL is a company promoted by Nepal Rastra Bank and banks & financial institutions. Its NCHL-ECC, NCHL-IPS, Connector IPS e-Payment, Connect RTGS, NPI and Corporate Pay systems are in operation, where all the banks and financial institutions have joined.
