QR Payment and Digital Partnership Agreement between Esewa and Pharmacy Association of Nepal

Nepal’s leading payment service provider Esewa and Nepal Pharmacy Association, Kaski have signed an agreement for QR payment and digital partnership.

The agreement has been signed by Bikram Pant, president of Kaski Association and Roshan Rai, business manager of esewa. As per the agreement, the member drug dealers under the association in Kaski district will use the payment system related to QR code operated by PhonePay. PhonePay will help to promote digital business through its other members, including Esewa.

Arrangements will also be made to make online appointments through Esewa in the hospitals affiliated to the association. Esewa, which has been aggressively promoting QR payments in recent days, has already signed QR payment and digital partnership agreements with Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Western Hotel Association. Esewa is working fast in the Digital Pokhara campaign.

Esewa, which provides services that can be paid through mobile and internet, has been adding various services to end the hassle of paying fees in the government sector in recent days. Currently, the number of direct account openers in Esewa is around 42 lakj.

Similarly, about 1 crore 50 lakh people are indirectly receiving services through Esewa. At present, Esewa has more than 120,000 agents (Esewa zones and points) across the country. Currently, there are about 200,000 merchants in Esewa.
