Production of cancer medicine started in Nepal for the first time

Production of anti-cancer drugs has started for the first time in Nepal. An anti-cancer drug manufactured by Tizig Pharma has brought it to the market. According to Tizig Firm, the production has started from its industry in Banepa, Kavre.

According to Shailesh Vaidya, executive director of Tizig, three molecule market licenses have been obtained from the department for distribution within Nepal. He said that another molecule has been approved for export.

The company claims that the medicine produced in Nepal is cheaper than the medicine imported from abroad.

“Earlier, patients were forced to take medicines from abroad,”. Vaidya said, “When the same medicine is produced in Nepal, we will give it to the patients at some concessional rate.”
