“In those months when I was pregnant [there were] concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born,” said Meghan.

Winfrey told CBS News on Monday the prince “did not tell me who was part of those conversations”.

The revelation that a family member wondered “how dark” Archie’s complexion might be came during a TV interview that aired overnight in the US.

“He did not share the identity with me but he wanted to make sure I knew, and if I had an opportunity to share it, that it was not his grandmother or grandfather that were part of those conversations,” Winfrey said.

Meghan shared, she found royal life so hard that she had suicidial thoughts at a time. She didn’t get help when she asked for it.

In an interview Prince Harry shared that after stepping back as senior royals, Prince Charles stopped taking his calls. He said, “I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar, he knows what pain feels like and Archie’s his grandson. “But at the same time, of course I will always love him but there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship.” He also shared he was cut off financially after leaving the royal palace.

Whereas, Harry said he has a “really good” relationship with his grandmother and he has spoken to her more in the past year – including video calls with Archie – than he has for many years.

“She’s my colonel-in-chief, right? She always will be.”

The couple is now settled in California, US after leaving their palace. In an interview, when asked by Winfrey if the couple left the UK because of racism, Prince Harry said that “was a large part of it”.
