Petroleum price hike in two months
Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the price of petroleum products. The corporation has increased the usual selling price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 with effect from 12 noon on Friday. The corporation has increased the price within two months again.
Similarly, the corporation has increased the price of domestic and foreign aviation fuel by Rs 10 per liter. Now the price of diesel and kerosene has gone up to Rs 116 per liter. Earlier, it was Rs 113 per liter.
Similarly, the price of petrol has reached Rs 133 per liter. Earlier, it was Rs 130 per liter.
The corporation has increased the price of cooking gas by Rs. 50. Now the gas has reached Rs 1,500 per cylinder. Earlier, it was Rs 1,450 per cylinder.
The price of domestic and foreign aviation fuel has also gone up. With the increase of Rs. 10 per liter, the price of domestic aviation fuel has reached Rs. 96 per liter.
The corporation has increased the price of oil saying that its price has also gone up in India as the price of fuel has gone up in the international market. Nepal has been importing fuel from India. After the price increased in India, the price has also increased in Nepal.
Even before this, the corporation had been continuously raising prices. The last time the price of petroleum products was increased was on August 25.
