Operation of new branch of ‘Garden Mart’ in Butbal

Shivshikhar Multipurpose Cooperative Society has opened a new branch of ‘Garden Mart’ in Butbal. The cooperative has brought Garden Mart in operation along with its 23rd member service center at Yogikuti Chowk in Butbal.

Minister for Forest Environment and Land Conservation Surendra Bahadur Hamal inaugurated the mart. Minister Hamal said that the competition would enable the consumers to get goods at easy and affordable prices, adding that the operation of such marts would be of great benefit to the local consumers.
According to Lilanath Gautam, chief executive officer of the cooperative, this is the 15th branch of Garden Mart in Butbal.

Earlier, the cooperative has opened garden marts in Dadeldhura, Kamal Binayak of Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, Thaib of Latilpur, Hetauda of Makwanpur, Tandi of Chitwan, Pokhara, Baglung, Tulsipur of Dang, Nepalgunj of Banke, Surkhet, Mahendranagar, Damak of Jhapa and Gaighat of Udayapur.Headquartered in Kaushaltar, Bhaktapur, the cooperative has come up with the concept of operating a Garden Mart to provide daily necessities to its members and local consumers.Shivshikhar Multipurpose Cooperative Society has stated that it is expanding investment in various sectors for the benefit of its share members. The cooperative has claimed to have provided direct employment to 675 people across the country.
