Now, Traffic fines can be paid online; Can be paid through one’s own account

Kathmandu, April 11

The Metropolitan Traffic Police has expanded the system of online payment of fines for violating traffic rules. The system has made in order to make traffic fines system more effective and convenient.

Chief of the Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Janak Bhattarai said that the payment of traffic fines has already started from the online service providers and to make it more convenient, simple and convenient, the service has been expanded from today by paying the fines directly from one’s own bank account.

He said that this would end the compulsion of drivers to wait in line at the bank to pay fines and spend time in vain and would also reduce the congestion at the traffic office.

The Traffic Division is affiliated with the Traffic Violation Record System (TVRS), the Revenue Management Information System (RIMS) of the Government of Nepal and the service providers. From today, additional 45 banks and financial institutions and 7 online payment service providers will be able to pay traffic fines directly and the branch plans to connect with other service providers in the coming days.

Dibas Kumar Sapkota and Munni Rajbhandari of Nepal Clearing House (Connect IPS) and other representatives were present on behalf of online service provider Phone Pay Pvt. In the coming days, the department has stated that it is planning to bring in other service providers that meet the criteria set by the department regarding the operation of online payment system.
