Nepse down by 0.09 percent in first hour on Wednesday
Kathmandu, April 7
In the first hour of trading on Wednesday, the Nepse index fell by 2.28 points and has reached 2,672.19 points. The market opened from 2,694.54 points and declined by 0.9 percent in the first hour of trading.
During the first hour, 191 companies 32 lakh 83 thousand 292 units of shares were traded 16,954 times; with a total turnover of Rs. 1 arba 50 crore 50 lakh 34 thousand. Shares of NIC Asia Microfinance and Reliance Finance raised by 9.98 percent and 9.45 percent respectively, in the first hour of trading.
Of all the 13 groups that traded in the first hour, trade, hydropower, non-life insurance, manufacturing and processing, others and life insurance, mutual funds and investment groups declined, while the rest of the banking, hotels and tourism, development banks, finance and microfinance groups has raised.
Womi Microfinance has had the highest turnover so far. The company’s total of 11 crore 40 lakh shares have been traded. The company’s share price has raised and is being traded at Rs. 1,802 per unit.
