Male, Female Footballers to Get Equal Remuneration

KATHMANDU: Both male and female national football players will now get equal remuneration.
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) working committee took this decision recently. The meeting has also increased the remuneration of its players.
According to ANFA Spokesperson Kiran Rai, an individual player will get Rs 18,000 remuneration per month. He added that players were demanding an increase in their wages for a long time.
Prior to this, male players were getting Rs 15,000 while female players were getting less than half- Rs 7,000. Rai added that vast discrimination in remuneration of male and female players was ended now. RSS
