Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani to issue IPO

Kathmandu, April 1

Kathmandu  Upatyaka Khanepani Ltd. is preparing to issue IPO to the general public. The company has planned to issue IPO to the public after the Melamchi’s water has arrived to Kathmandu. The company has expected that the financial condition of the company will improve with the arrival of Melamchi water.

Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani has an authorized capital of 1 arba. Kathmandu Metropolitant City has shares of 24 %, Lalitpur Metropolitant City has 8 %, 16 different municipalities of Kathmandu valley have 8 % shares in Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Ltd. Similarly, the Ministry of Water Supply and Sanitation has 4 % shares and four private sectors have 12 % shares in the company.  The company is planning to sell 15 percent shares in the IPO.
