Kalika Laghubitta to close the book for the general meeting from Chaitra 2

Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. is going to close the book for the joint annual general meeting scheduled for Baisakh 7. The company will be closing the book from Chaitra 22 for the annual genera meeting.
The company has convened a joint annual general meeting of the last two fiscal years at 8 am at the meeting hall of Hotel Task International, Pokhara. On the basis of the book close, only the existing shareholders will be able to receive dividend and participate in the meeting till Thursday, Chaitra 19.
The meeting will pass the annual reports for the fiscal years 075/76 and 076/77 and also pass the proposed 10 percent bonus shares. Currently, the company’s paid-up capital is Rs. 25 crore 23 lakh 3o thousand.
The bonus shares will be distributed on the basis of the same capital. The company, which last year distributed 12 percent bonus shares and 0.63 percent dividend for tax purposes, is set to pay a lower dividend this year.
The meeting will also pass a resolution appointing an auditor for the current fiscal year and fixing his remuneration. The meeting is also scheduled to approve the election of four directors from the founding group and two from the general group to be represented in the board of directors.
At present, the capital structure of the company is 64.52 percent towards the founders and 35.48 percent towards the general public. The meeting shall decide to give the responsibility of all the related work to the board of directors if the company goes for merger and acquisition with any other suitable financial institution.
