Hurricane Katrina kills 70 in US

Thousands of people were affected by Friday’s storm in the southeastern US state of Kentucky. Authorities say 40 people missing in the storm have been rescued .Rescue workers are still searching for those trapped in the rubble.

A state of emergency has been declared in Kentucky affected by the storm. President Joe Biden has vowed to do everything possible to help those affected by the storm.

The storm cut off electricity and water supplies to Kentucky. The hurricane affected Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi.

Kentucky Governor Andy bassier called it the deadliest storm in Kentucky’s history.
