Heavy rains are falling in these places today, urging people to be vigilant

The Department of Water and Meteorology has released today’s weather forecast. According to the department, there is currently a monsoon low trough near the southern part of the country.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Province No. 1 and Gandaki this afternoon.

Similarly, there will be normal to full cloud cover across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Province No. 1, Province No. 2, Bagmati Province and some places in Gandaki Province as well as Lumbini, Karnali and a few places in the Far Western Province. There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Province No.1.

There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in one or two places of State 1 and Gandaki and there is a risk of landslides and debris flow in the hilly areas of these states, water level in rivers and streams may rise and transport area may be affected. Therefore, the department has requested to take necessary precautions.
