Haiti earthquake death toll rises near to 1,300

The death toll from powerful earthquake in Haiti has risen to 1,297. A magnitude 7.2 earthquake on Saturday destroyed a large number of homes, churches, school buildings and hospitals. Search and rescue operations are underway for those buried in the rubble.
According to the agency, more than % thousand 700 injured are being treated.
The death toll could rise as search and rescue operationsare going on, officials said.
Haiti was hit by a powerful earthquake 11 years ago. At that time, 300,000 people lost their lives in the 7 magnitude earthquake.
