Free electricity to those consuming up to 20 units

The Electricity Authority is going to implement the new electricity tariff rate from November 20. Preparations have been made to implement the new tariff as soon as the new rate proposed by the Electricity Tariff Assessment Commission is approved. Discount has been provided to those consuming up to 20 units of electricity at the new rate.

The commission has claimed that the electricity used for domestic consumption has been made cheaper and also for the drivers of small and big electric vehicles.

The commission is preparing to hold a press conference on electricity tariff at 2 pm today at the hall of the Department of Electricity.
