Floods kill 146 in Brazil, More than hundred are missing

The death toll from floods in the Brazilian city of Petropolis and the state of Rio de Janeiro has risen to 146. Till Saturday, at least 191 people are missing in the floods.Thousands of citizens have been affected.

It has been reported that floods and landslides have been continuing for the last five days due to rains.

According to local officials, the roads have turned into rivers due to heavy rains.

Dozens of homes are damaged by the floods and hundreds of people are sheltered in most schools.

Experts say the effects of climate change have caused heavy rainfall.
