E-passport service launched in Makwanpur

Initially, the administration plans to register at least 15 people daily and add more services according to the capacity of the office. The administration has stated that the e-passport will be provided within 7 to 15 days of registration.

The administration has provided the facility for the service recipients to register themselves online for e-passport. For the first time outside Kathmandu, Makwanpur has started such service by managing the necessary equipment and infrastructure.

Chief District Officer Bharat Mani Poudel said that to get an e-passport, one has to register by filling up a national identity card form.
