Discussion on Nepal at MCC Board Meeting: Government’s Commitment to Approve ‘Note’ by Parliament

Kathmandu: The MCC-Nepal Compact has been discussed at the board meeting of the Millennium Challenge Corporation. According to a statement issued by the MCC, the MCC board discussed the situation in Nepal at its annual country selection meeting.

The meeting discussed the status of implementation of the 500 million MCC-Nepal Compact. During the discussion, the Board of Directors expressed the Government of Nepal’s commitment to approve the MCC-Nepal Compact in the near future.

The board meeting has selected Belize and Zambia in the qualifying list for the new MCC compact.
