Congress General Convention: 878 votes were cast till 3:15 pm

Kathmandu. Voting for the new leadership of the Nepali Congress continues. Voting is taking place at the National Assembly Hall and Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu.Voting has been arranged in one place in the National Assembly and two places in Bhrikuti Mandap. According to the NC Central Election Committee, 878 votes have been cast in all the three constituencies till 3:15 pm.

According to the Election Committee, 343 votes have been cast in the National Assembly and 535 in the two seats (exhibition hall and forecourt) of Bhrikuti Mandap.The Election Committee has made arrangements for 2,100 and 1,300 voters in two places of Bhrikuti Mandap and 1,300 voters in the National Assembly.

It is said that it takes about half an hour to vote for a representative. 134 out of the 167-member working committee will be elected and the remaining 33 members will be nominated by the central chairperson. The total number of delegates to the 14th General Convention is 4,743.
