Co-operative Bank to open its branches in seven provinces

Kathmandu, February 25

National Co-operative Bank Ltd will open its new branches in seven provinces of Nepal. On Wednesday, Nepal Rastra Bank accepted the proposal of National Co-operative Bank for the establishment of bank branches in seven provinces.

NRB permitted to establish bank branches in Biratnagar, Province No.1, Janakpur, Province No.2, Hetauda of Bagmati Province, Pokhara of Gandaki Province, Butwal of Province Lumbini, Surkhet of Karnali Province and Dhangadi of Sudurpaschim Province.

According to the Chairperson of Co-operative Bank, K. B Upreti “The decision made on establishment of bank in all seven province in Geneal Assembly was proposed to NRB and NRB accepted their proposal”.

Currently, Co-operative Bank has 68 branches in the country.
