Census begins with collection of family details of President Bhandari

The 12th edition of the census is starting from today. The National Census 2078 has started with the collection of family details of President Bidyadevi Bhandari. The questionnaire prepared for the census was asked to President Bhandari.

A census of the families of Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is being conducted after the family details of President Bhandari.

This time, 40,000 enumerators and 8,500 supervisors will fill not only human details but also community questionnaires from 6,743 wards, so the questionnaire is large. During the 15 days of the census, one enumerator will have to collect data of an average of 175 households.

Nepal has been conducting census every 10 years since 2018 according to international standards and scientific method. In the seventh census of 2028 BS, data processing was started from computer machine.
