Bruce Springsteen sold songs for 500 million

Famous singer Bruce Springsteen has sold a master recording of all his life songs to Sony for 500 million.

As per the agreement, 20 of his studio albums are now owned by Sony. According to Multiple US, his most popular classic songs, “Born to Run”, “The River” and “Born in the USA” are also on the list. He has won 20 Grammy Awards and earned 15 million from music last year alone. Earlier, other promising singers like Bob Dylan, Blondie and David Bowie had similarly sold the copyrights of their albums.

Last September, Warner Music bought Bowie’s worldwide music rights. In December last year, Dylan sold a monopoly of more than 600 songs to Universal Music Group for about 300 million. In May, Sony Music’s chief executive officer, Rob Stringer, told an investment briefing that the company had so far invested 1.4 billion in the monopoly business.
