Bird flu infection found in the Kathmandu valley
Bird flu infection has been confirmed in chickens reared at three different locations in Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Department of Animal Services, the infection was found in chickens reared by farmers of Nepal Agricultural Research Council’s firm at Khumaltar in Lalitpur, Ramkot in Kathmandu and Takeshwar.
The Director General of the Department of Animal Services said that the infected birds are being destroyed. Since last July, no bird flu infection has been observed in the cattle of Kathmandu.
