As per the NRB directive, banks and financial institutions will have to publish interest rates on loans and deposits for the coming month at the end of each month. Lakshmi Bank, Siddharth Bank, Pyme Commercial Bank, NMB Bank, Kumari Bank Himalayan Bank, Century Commercial Bank, Machhachher Bank, Civil Bank, Sanima Bank, Krishi Vikas Bank, Sunrise Bank, Nepal Bank, Prabhu Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, NCC Bank Everest Bank, Nabil Bank, Citizen Bank, Bank of Kathmandu and Nepal Investment Bank.
Standard Chartered Bank has the lowest interest rate. It has stated that it will offer 9.50 percent interest rate on term deposits even in January. Meanwhile, Mega Bank and Rastriya Banijya Bank, which paid less than 10.05 percent interest in December, will also pay 10.05 percent in January.
