Army jeep accident in Bardibas: Five injured, two in critical condition

Kathmandu, April 13

A Bolero jeep carrying a Nepal Army team met with an accident at Bardibas in Mahottari district. In an accident five persons are injured where two of them are in critical condition.

According to Kailash Khatri, Inspector at the District Traffic Police Office, Bardibas, Mahottari, the jeep (Ba 2 Jha 463) was heading towards Bardibas from Dharapani Dhanusha.

Jamdar Buddhaman Rai, 33 years old, and Amaldar Santosh Bista, 34 years old, are seriously injured in an accident. Similarly, 34-year-old Pyutha Amal Thapa, 24-year-old Dasharath Tharu and 38-year-old Nepal Army driver Chetraj Rai were also injured, according to police.

Their treatment is undergoing at Janasewa Hospital in Bardibas. Helicopters have been ordered to take the injured to the Nepal Army Camp Hospital in Kathmandu for further treatment.

A Nepal Army team was coming to Bardibas to fetch water when a wheel fell on the left side of the road and fell into a 10 meter deep ravine. The incident site is 20 meters away from the District Traffic Police Office on the East-West Mahendra Highway. The injured Nepal Army personnel were rushed to the hospital by locals and police.
