ANFA appoints Abdhullah Almutairi as the coach for Nepali national football team

Kathmandu, April 4

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Abdullah S. Almutairi as the head coach of the Nepali national football team. He is from Kuwait.

As per the recommendation of ANFA’s technical committee, Bal Gopal Maharjan has been removed and Almutairi has been given the responsibility of the head coach. According to ANFA, Abdullah has been appointed as the head coach of the World Cup qualifiers after FIFA introduced a rule that the head coach should have a pro-license.

He has experience of coaching national teams including Qatar, Arabia, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan. ANFA hopes that the Nepali national football team will perform well in the World Cup qualifiers through the training of Almutairi.
