Amid the threat of Omicron, 10 people who came to India from South Africa went missing after turning off their phones

Kathmandu. Ten foreigners from South Africa have gone missing in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Bangalore Metropolitan City and health officials could not be reached for comment.

Only yesterday, the first case of India’s Omicron infection was found in Bangalore. Those infected also came from South Africa. The administration is alarmed after the disappearance of 10 people from South Africa. Travel history of all these foreign nationals has been obtained from South African countries. However, the most worrying thing is that all these mobile phones are switched off. In this case, they could not be traced.

Bangalore Metropolitan Commissioner Gaurav Gupta said all the foreign nationals came from South African countries. Their mobile phone is switched off. The health department is searching for them. After the confirmation of Omicron variant, 57 people from South Africa have come to India. The administration has not been able to find 10 of them. Their phone is also off. Although the passengers had written their temporary address in India at the airport, they were not found at that address.
