The one-year restraining order issued in Kathmandu Valley has been extended. The cabinet meeting has decided to ban the corona infection for one more week saying that there will be no chain break for just one week. The cabinet meeting approved the recommendations of the Covid Crisis Management Center (CCMC) for corona prevention.
The CCMC had recommended enforcing the ban after the number of active infected people in urban areas exceeded 500 and in hilly districts more than 200. A joint meeting of the chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur had decided to issue a one-week injunction from April 29 after the infection rate in the Kathmandu Valley increased.
