A new variant of the corona virus, which is found in Africa is also found in Canada
A new variant of the corona virus, Omicron, which was recently found in Africa, has also been found in Canada. The virus was found in two people in the Canadian province of Ontario on Sunday, health officials said.
The variant, which was recently discovered in South Africa, is said to be spreading to many countries around the world. The new variant was also seen in the UK, where the Delta virus of the corona virus has been on the rise recently.
The United Kingdom has suspended flights from African countries for the time being following the discovery of the Omicron virus. There have also been reports of tougher bans than there are now.
At the same time, many countries have banned travel from various African countries. Japan and Israel have banned the entry of all foreign nationals since Tuesday.
The doctor, who initially found the Omicron variant, said that those infected with the variant had moderate symptoms and could recover at home.
Dr Angelique Koetzi, president of the South African Medical Association, said those infected with omecron did not lose their taste or smell and did not lose much oxygen.
However, research on the Omicron variant remains to be seen.
