A Man Died as the Police Fired

A man died in Kapilvastu district on Thursday when police fired on a group of protesters defying a curfew imposed by the local administration.

Suraj Pandey, 22 year old was deceased. The dispute crossed the limit  when two communities Muslims and Hindus turned in to violent.

According to local, the discussion started when those two communities  had dispute on which way to go to immerse idols of goddess Laxmi after worshipping it.

Police fired arounf 50 tear gas to calm down the mass. Four people were injured in the clashes. Later on, the police force was compelled to announced an indifinite curfew to controll the situation .

Last year, on October too, there was a tension in Krishnanagar regarding immersing Durga idols.
