India-Nepal currency limit: INR 25,000 per person allowed across border
The government has decided to allow Nepali and Indian citizens to carry old Indian INR 200 and INR 500 notes, demonetized on Nov 9, 2016, up to a limit of INR 25,000 per person, both into Nepal from India and from Nepal to India.
The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting held on Mangsir 29, government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel informed.
