After three years, the NADA Auto Show started, lasting for 6 days

Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Mahat said that economic activities are going on. Finance Minister Dr. Inaugurating the 15th edition of NADA Auto Show, 2023 in the capital on Tuesday. Mahat said that the economic risks are decreasing due to the gradual reduction of financial problems. Mahat has claimed that there is no need to fear whether the country will go the way of Sri Lanka.

Mahat claimed that even the automobile sector will become more dynamic and the sales of vehicles will increase. He said – “Earlier, vehicles were considered as luxury vehicles and taxes were imposed accordingly, but now there is no need to think like that.”

Mahat has claimed that the use of electric vehicles has been increasing in recent times and that he is also adopting an easy policy for its use. Now it is necessary to produce and assemble vehicles within the country. Businessmen should move forward for this,” he said.

He said that since the government is providing concessions and incentives for the vehicle production and assembling industry, the businessmen should use this opportunity to engage in economic production.

President of NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal Dhubra Thapa said that the show has started after 3 years. He said that only the NADA EV Expo was held when the government imposed a ban on imports last year.

Thapa said that auto business based on import is being based on production. He also said during the speech of the opening session that along with two-wheelers, four-wheelers, engine oil, batteries and parts are being produced.

He said that the government has been increasing the tax on electric vehicles every year against its own policy. He has requested the government to facilitate hire purchase loans.

Anup Baral, chairman of the auto show, said that two-wheelers, four-wheelers, auto parts and other stalls are participating. He said that the auto show will run for 6 days.
